I could have let you die
Remember that
I saved your life

What a useless task it was
A worthless life given another die
Living to haunt me as I sleep
Breathing to fuck me as I wake
No rights and no boundaries
Nothing to hold back the beast within

I could have killed you
Remember that
I gave you your life

Your blood would have smeared my walls for eternity
Colouring my life with vibrant shades of thickened red
I mistook you for a good person inside the walls of a madman
Walking away instead of finishing my task at hand
The very dirt I walk should be held sacred to your heart
For I am the giver and taker of what you hold so dear

I saved your life
I gave you your life
Remember that
